Extra Details

See profile for more details. This is for the PSL incarnation at [insanejournal.com profile] underworldangel.

Family in Detail: By technicality of being progenated rather than conceived through "natural" methods, Jenny only has one parent: a Time Lord who calls himself "The Doctor." (He was in his tenth regeneration when she was created.) Unknown to her, Jenny isn't his first child and therefore has half-siblings - all of whom were deceased before her birth.

In some ways, she considers Donna Noble to be a mother figure; the human woman named her and helped coax her father into acceptance. However, she also views Donna as a friend and would-be traveling partner.

Though she does know Martha Jones to some degree, it's mostly as an ally rather than an outright friend or pseudo family member. After all, she didn't know Martha for anywhere near as long as she knew her father and Donna.

Not Quite Time Lord: Jenny may biologically be a Time Lady, but the nature of her birth has attributed to certain quirks. In some ways, she's merely "part Time Lord," while in others she's no different from the rest. This list details some of the likenesses and differences, but may not be exhaustive. (It should also be noted that I'm going by the Gallifreyan Physiology wiki page and creating this for gaming purposes only. Canonically, it hasn't really been laid out just how alike and different Jenny is to the species she resembles.) This is a rough draft of sorts, because I wanted to get everything down and have yet to refine it into a more aesthetically pleasing list with complete sentences.

Completely Alike

Skeletal & Organ Structure - two hearts, twenty-six ribs, an advanced respiratory system, and perhaps some organs unknown to humans
Röntgen Radiation - mostly immune, can easily displace the radiation after exposure
High-Frequency Sounds - increased immunity to the pain associated with such noises
Advanced/Acute Senses - all five senses are stronger than those of humans
Poison Resistance - if aware of and given access to proper counter-measures, can negate the effects of deadly poisons; also has a strong resistance to anesthetics such as those used in surgical procedures
Reduced Need for Oxygen - as part of the advanced respiratory system
Natural Buoyancy - also part of the advanced respiratory system; can swim very easily
Cold and Heat Resistance - can easily survive subzero or extremely hot temperatures that would kill humans
Reflexes - inhumanly efficient timing and reflexes; great hand-eye coordination; very difficult to disorient
Falling - capable of surviving falls that might shatter bones of humans without ill effect
Electric Shock - capable of surviving electrical currents which would kill a human
One Heart Optional - may survive with only one functional heart; will be severely weakened
Weakness - may be disabled by a blow to the left shoulder (due to presence of vulnerable nerve cluster)

Similarities

Blood - same colour as human blood, but more like Gallifreyan than human in composition; slight regenerative properties; incompatible with the blood of any other person or life form
Bleeding - may survive complete loss of blood from a single cardiovascular system; has a weak spot between hearts from which both systems may be compromised simultaneously (penetrating chest wounds are particularly dangerous and may prove fatal)
Aspirin Allergy - will make her very sick, but can't kill her unless overdosed; effects may be counter-acted with consumption of chocolate
Sleep-Inducing Drugs - non-anesthetics work but take twice as long as it would on humans; can be circumvented via a double-dose
Pulse - low resting pulse around 20 bpm; two pulses detectable in wrist; erratic-sounding and rapid (compared to humans) pulse when stressed or over-exerted
Telepathy - by touch only (even with animals), mildly effective
Memory - not always photographic (especially in times of great duress), but highly effective
Brain Power - can multi-task easily; cannot process vast multitudes of information at once; has thought streams only somewhat more advanced than those of humans
Body Temperature - warm to touch, reasonably human; internal temperature around 68 degrees Fahrenheit; internal temperature drops considerably (but not below freezing) when healing from serious injuries
Lifespan - extremely slowed aging; can literally live forever if not killed (cannot die of "old age")
Sleep - needs less sleep than humans; can feel rested after as little as three hours of sleeping
Vacuum - can survive unprotected for up to four minutes in the low pressure of a vaccum (such as space)

Differences

Decontamination - won't be harmed by elimination of germs deemed harmful to humans; might find the process uncomfortable but not life-threatening
Respiratory Bypass System - ineffective for more than a few seconds; virtually non-existent, possibly malformed
No Playing Possum - cannot control vascular or respiratory system such as to create the illusion of death
Seeing the Vortex - has never peered into the Time Vortex; has no preternatural connection to time
Regeneration - incapable of regenerating fully to avoid death; may easily heal from non-lethal injuries; can heal from potentially-fatal injuries only if there's enough time before would-be death; will not change appearance
